Skincare Routine of a Lazy Non-Makeup-Wearing Person

Simple and quick

As a non-makeup-wearing person, I tend not to really care about my skin as much as I should. I find it difficult to even wash my face sometimes, let alone do a full makeup routine. I also tend to touch my face a lot and I definitely don’t want to smear makeup all over my face.

Nevertheless, I like the clean feeling I get after I wash my face and do some skin care. Most of the time, I wash my face with cleansing soap and then apply some night cream and lip balm. I sometimes get in the mood to apply a soothing face mask.

This routine takes like 10 minutes tops, and I’m already finished, ready to get on with my night.

I have combination skin, which is basically dry skin with an oily T-zone. Most products work for me and don’t give me breakouts. But, these are my favorites.

1. CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser

I have been using CeraVe’s SA Smoothing Cleanser for over a year now. After using it, I feel like my skin got a new cleaner, smoother layer. It’s gentle and I have never experienced breakouts.

I saw a TikTok saying that SA (Salicylic Acid) is good for back acne, which is something I suffer from (sobs dramatically). I’ve been using CeraVe’s cleanser on my back too, and it worked MIRACLES. Bye bye, painful acne that hurts when I scratch my back. I love scratching my back :’)

2. NIVEA Soft Cream

I like to believe that Nivea is a staple in all Moroccan homes. It’s like that weird-looking watch that’s been passed around your family for generations.

I used to steal mom’s Nivea’s Soft Cream when I was a child (still do), and I have been using it forever. I buy the largest tub they offer and use it everywhere. I use it on my face after I wash it with CeraVe. I use it on my legs after I shave. I even use it on my thighs when they get too dry. I want to be buried smothered in Nivea’s Soft Cream..

3. Mint Lip Balm

I couldn’t find the lip balm I use online as I got it from a local shop. But, this is the closest one I could find. ALIDA PURE Vegan Mint Lip Balm’s has similar ingredients to the one I have.

I love the smell and the smoothness it gives my lips. I use it all day everyday whenever I feel my lips getting dry. I carry one with me in my pockets all the time.

That’s it! I told you. My skincare routine is simple and doesn't take much time. Please note that these products worked for me and my skin type, use them at your own discretion.
