Going to school during a worldwide pandemic

A short, sad story.

This year’s school season has the biggest twist in human history, not only you get to buy school supplies but you might as well get the virus.

I can’t wrap my mind around the thoughts that some parents (mine included) are OK with sending their kids to school, I can’t understand how is education more important than human lives.

When I brought this subject up with my dad, he said that he can’t stand my younger brother studying from home as he knows he won’t do well; he prefers sending him off to school knowing that people are dying every day because of Covid-19.

Since when do we not care about human beings? Now people want to put education first? We all know that you can study the same way from home as in school if you put your mind to it.

Not only are you risking your child’s life, but you are also risking yours, and the rest of your family. I don’t want my brother to go to school because that puts me in danger too; I didn’t stay quarantined for months to sit down and welcome the virus through my front door.

Can we for once not care about education? What would happen if your kid or your sibling waste a year? Absolutely nothing, it’s better that you waste years because of a WORLDWIDE pandemic than lose a loved one and regret later, you can’t care about the impact of education in your child’s future if they are dead and have no future.

Anyway, let’s all think about our health because if it goes in vain, your education would have been for nothing.

PS: I sweat a lot after writing this because this subject makes me want to tear my eyes out and have them for dinner.
